Boys of New York

Description: The weekly storypaper Boys of New York, intended for the entire family, features an array of serialized stories, poems, and articles on sports, fashion, and current events. Its weekly humor section includes racial and ethnic jokes about African-Americans, Asians, Mexicans and the Irish. The paper is newspaper-style in format and consists of eight pages with a black-and-white cover illustration and additional imagery inside each issue. Such storypapers were enormously popular and their circulation reached into the hundreds of thousands.
