Description:	Banner Weekly, the popular storypaper published by Beadle & Adams, first appeared as Saturday Journal (1870) and later Beadle's Weekly (1882) before taking on its present name in 1885. Storypapers were weekly newspapers that featured an array of serialized stories, poems, humor, sports, fashion, and current events intended for the entire family. The Bannner enjoyed an enormous circulation and by 1892 boasted a readership 250,000 strong. Format: 8 pages, with a front-page illustration.
